Prof Trevor Barr Swinburne University |
M.A (SUT), B.Ed |
Major research interests focus on the interactions between new media forms and their users. In addition to areas such as technological diffusion of new media, consumer based participation in terms of access and equity to communications services is part of Trevor Barr’s research focus. He has written and commented extensively on public policy issues in telecommunications, such as ownership and control, competition policy, and universal service obligations. Another strong strand of his research interests is in Communication Futures which culminated in his recent CRC Smart Internet publication Smart Internet 2010, with Darren Sharp and Alex Burns. |
